Glitz, glam, boxing gloves, wigs and a return performance from *NSYNC, the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards have now come and gone. Here are five highlights we're talking about today:

Beloved boy band *NSYNC reunited to perform on stage and grown women everywhere professed their love for Justin & Co. all over facebook. "Bye, Bye, Bye" is the song of the day, obviously.

Miley is All Grown Up

Miley Cyrus performed her hit "We Can't Stop" as well as "Blurred Lines" with Robin Thicke. Miley's performances added to her recent risky behavior as she lets the world know she is no longer the PG-rated Miley we once knew.

Low-Key Performance for Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga opened the show with a relatively low-key performance of "Applause." Most notable about her stage time was the four outfit changes and series of wig changes. Did the crowd really boo her on stage?

Many Calling "Same Love" Performance of the Night

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis filled the VMA stage with love for their performance of "Same Love" with Mary Lambert. Jennifer Hudson joined the trio at the end of the song for a surprise performance.

Katy Perry Closes Show with a "Roar"

Katy Perry closed the show performing under the Brooklyn Bridge in a sports bra and boxing shorts for her new single, "Roar." After a jump-roping interlude, she signaled the end by holding up "Game Over" signs.
