Report: Thieves targeted traveling jeweler in Ill.

Libertyville, Ill.-A jeweler carrying a bag containing $50,000 to $60,000 in antique and vintage jewelry was recently robbed outside of a hotel in this north Illinois town, a theft believed to be the work of an organized gang preying on jewelers. According to a report from the Chicago Tribune, jeweler Pam Benson of Pam Benson Antiques and Fine Jewelry in Orland Park, Ill., was robbed on Sept
. 11 outside of a Hampton Inn & Suites Hotel.
