By Catherine Dayrit                National Jeweler              September 13, 2010

Los Angeles-In typical MTV Video Music Awards (VMA) style, the fashions at last night's awards show leaned towards the over-the-top (meat dress, anyone?) but in jewelry, a handful of styles, including oversized earrings, blackened metals and stacked bangles, managed to stand out against an abundance of glitzy shift dresses and flamboyant frocks.>>>

"Why use GemFind for your online marketing?"

Walter Bauman Jewelers has been very pleased with our relationship with Gemfind. We are delighted with the website that they developed for us. They were very responsive to our deadlines and any issues that we have had. They were also very sensitive to working with the limited time that we were able to devote to we were able  the project. They are skilled and professional. It has been wonderful to work with someone within the industry who knows our questions before we ask them!"

Larry in the Sky With Diamonds

By Roe Kalb                 Israeli Diamond Industry Blog                    13 September 2010

With diamond technology becoming increasingly sophisticated, would you plunk down $20 million dollars or more for a rough stone you'd only looked at through a jeweler's loupe? That's what London jeweler Laurence Graff did in 2008 when he bought one of the largest rough diamonds ever mined - a 478-carat stone mined at Lesotho's Letseng mine. >>>

Diamond Anniversary

By Rob Bates        This story appears in the September 2010 issue of JCK Magazine

Jewelry process was labor intensive

By JULIE ROBINSON ROBARDS     pressrepublican.com    Sep.13,2010

By 1936, two thirds of all costume jewelry made in the United States was fabricated from colorful cast phenolic resin. A Very Merry Holiday Spending Forecast

By Richard Dalglish       This story appears in the September 2010 issue of JCK Magazine.

U.S. consumers are poised to give retailers the best holiday season in years, even as they worry about jobs, the stuttering economy, and a burgeoning federal deficit.
The good news was forecast back in January, when Moody's Analytics' Mark Zandi predicted that holiday sales would rise 3 to 4 percent. And now that summer's over, says Scott Hoyt, Economy.com's senior director of consumer economics, "if anything, we might upgrade it to 3.5 percent to 4.5 percent
