Diamond Industry Rattled by Hong Kong Heist

"They did a real sting operation on me in Hong Kong, the whole office was involved," Shlomo Fastag, a diamantaire who a week ago reported to the Diamond Exchange that he had amassed debt because of a sting operation, told The Marker. >>>

Pa. jewelers hit by distraction theft duo

Hummelstown, Pa.--A Pennsylvania jeweler is issuing a warning to fellow retailers about a pair of distraction thieves that have hit at least two jewelers near Harrisburg, Pa. Drue Heisey, of Drue's Fine Jewelry in Hummelstown, Pa., said the theft in her shop occurred at about 10:30 on the morning of July 6. A man and a woman entered her Pennsylvania jewelry store together. The man stood in front of one showcase while the woman positioned herself in front of the other.>>>
