SALESMAN ROBBED AND TIED TO CHAIR
Washington, DC – February 9, 2007
Following sales calls in Richmond, VA, a salesperson drove to an apartment in Washington, D.C. to stay the night. In the morning, shortly after the departure of one of the residents of the apartment, Hispanic male suspects entered the apartment, tied the salesperson to a chair, and taped his mouth. When he had trouble breathing, the suspects cut the tape with a knife, slitting his ear. The suspects then fled with the salesperson’s jewelry merchandise. The salesperson required hospitalization.
