WDC addresses global forum on terrorism

Moscow—The World Diamond Council (WDC) spoke about conflict diamonds this week at the "Global Forum for Partnerships between States and Business to Counter Terrorism," held here.

The WDC was invited to attend the meeting by the G8 governments and the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The organization was there to provide insight on its campaign to eliminate conflict diamonds and its role in implementing the Kimberley Process (KP).More

SALESPERSON HIT WITH FLYING GLASS
Austin, TX – November 16, 2006
Two jewelry salespersons made sales calls in San Antonio and then drove to Austin. When the salespersons pulled into a parking space, two male Hispanic suspects came up to their car and smashed the windows. Some of the flying glass cut one of the salespersons on the face. The suspects took sample cases, slashed the salespersons’ tires and fled in a bright gold Saturn or Cavalier. The suspects appeared to be accompanied by a second vehicle described as a 2006 or 2007 dark gray Jeep Cherokee.
