I just received an email from a jewelry store owner who recently tried using an email campaign for a Father's Day promotion. Normally, he uses advertising to communicate his Father's Day promotions, but decided this year he would try something different. He has been collecting email addresses for about a year when people made a purchase in his store. He had about 300 email addresses. A simple emailer was created with a message that reinforced his committment to customers along with a few special offers. The response was better than he expected. FUGITIVE ARRESTED IN WISCONSIN
Grand Chute, WI – June 13, 2006
The armed fugitive, Steven Barentson, whose picture has appeared on JSA’s website for the last two weeks, and who has been the lead subject of several JSA E-mail Alerts, was arrested in Grand Chute, WI. Grand Chute Police and the Outagamie County (WI) Emergency Response Team arrested the fugitive at a motel following a tip. Barentson is wanted for the attempted homicide and armed robbery of a retail jewelry store in Omaha, NE on May 9, 2006, and is expected to be returned to Nebraska to face those charges.
