Tuesday, January 24, 2006 Thank you for last week's responses to the question, "Have you done a survey or focus group with your clients? Did you feel it benefitted you?", here's one I thought would interest you: Matt Krause of Moda Jewels, Ltd. wrote: I've done two surveys in the past 6 months. I incorporate them into my monthly newsletter. The first was a simple "plus-delta" -- tell us what you like, and what you don't like, about shopping with us. I got great feedback, and had my eyes opened to some things my customers raved about, but that I took for granted. Now I know those things are actually valuable assets that can be leveraged. The second survey was about a new logo. We are updating our logo and asked the same newsletter mailing list to vote on which of a half dozen options they liked best. They voted overwhelmingly for one particular design, a design I secretly liked best but thought would never work. When I saw the voting results, I knew we could go with it and people would respond well (it won't be rolled out for another month or so -- we're still on the old one as of today). The short story: Surveys rock. Let your customers tell you what they want, in their own words. People love to be asked for advice. Please take moment to take the survey we sent you - if you haven't already. We will give you one free email campaign for your feedback. If you deleted it CLICK HERE. This week's question (Email me your feedback and you will receive a gift coupon toward a GemFind service of your choice): What Valentine's promotions have been most successful for you? |

Product Testing: 3M FX Polishing Wheels By James Cantrell, December 2005 - Ganoskin When AJM asked me to test the new 3M FX Polishing Wheels, I was reminded of a neat factoid: The House of Fabergé didn't have the fancy technologies - laser welders, CAD/CAM, etc. - we have today, yet the objects of art they produced are in collections and museums worldwide. Think-ing of this, I wondered if these new polishing wheels would really outshine the more basic tools on my bench. I decided to find out. More |
