If you’re looking to advertise your jewelry store on Google Ads, one of the most important steps you’ll need to take is creating a Google Ads account. Google Ads has been around for several decades, originally incarnated as “Google Adwords”. It’s entirely possible that you, your staff, or someone on your IT team created a Google Ads account quite some time ago, and now you want to start advertising again, but you don’t have access to it.
Fortunately, you can not only access your Google Ads account again, but you can also share it with others, such as working with a dedicated ads manager or a company like GemFind to help you get more out of your jewelry store marketing.
Once you’ve granted access to your Google Ads account, you can edit the user’s individual access level or even revoke access later if you want.
The first step in requesting access to a Google Ads account is to quite simply have a Google Account. The process of creating one is simple and takes only a few minutes. Once that’s done, you can then grant access.
Granting access to your Google Ads account is easy. In the upper right corner of the account, click on the tools icon (it looks like a wrench) and then under Setup, choose Access and Security.
From here, click the plus button and set the access level for the person you want to invite, then enter their email address to invite them.
Next, click on Send Invitation. Once the person accepts the invitation, you’ll get a notification in your account. If for any reason you need to revoke the application, you can simply click Revoke under the Actions column.
If you’re the person being invited, you’ll receive a confirmation email when someone invites you to access their Google Ads account. Just click the link in the email to accept the invitation and complete the steps as it prompts you to do so.
If you want to edit someone’s access level in your Google Ads account, just click the tools icon (the wrench) once more, and under Setup, click Access and Security.
From there, just click on the user you want to remove, choose Actions and then Remove Access. It’s that simple!
Finally, if you need to edit someone’s access level in your Google Ads account for whatever reason, you’ll go through the same kinds of steps. Click on the Tools icon, then under Setup, choose Access and Security.
Then put your cursor over the user’s access level in the Access Level column. An arrow will appear where you can select a new access level for that person.
Now that you have a better idea of how to request, accept, edit and remove access to a Google Ads account, you can work with a full-scale ad management company like GemFind to help you market your online jewelry store through Google Ads. Contact us today to learn more!
