Jail Time for Kansas Jeweler Who Purchased Stolen Jewelry Logan Sachon JCK Nov. 23 In June, Dasher pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court to one count of transporting stolen goods. He admitted to purchasing jewelry stolen during home invasions and melting the jewelry to form scrap gold, which he sold to gold wholesalers Pop Gems International, Gold Empire, and Coinex Inc. in Los Angeles. Dasher was sentenced to one year and one day in federal prison plus a forfeiture money judgment of $130,000. |

IDC Unveils New Website to Aid Grasp of Diamond Terminology Diamonds.net Nov. 23 The International Diamond Council (IDC), a trade body that formulates globally recognized standards for diamond grading and nomenclature, has launched a new website to aid users’ understanding of naming diamonds and terminology.
