Belgium’s September Polished Exports Fall 12%

Belgium’s polished diamond exports fell 12 percent year on year to $1.39 billion in September, according to the Antwerp World Diamond Centre. By volume, polished imports decreased 14 percent to 610,853 carats, while the average price increased 2 percent to $2,193 per carat. Belgium’s net diamond account for the year to date went from a $10.27 billion deficit to a $167.11 million surplus.
