Marketing: Not just for holidays anymore
By Joseph Dobrian         octubre 20, 2008

New York-Traditionally, many jewelers have saved up their advertising funds and their marketing ingenuity for a big pre-Christmas push. But among the most successful jewelers, the conventional marketing wisdom is that promoting a store brand ought to be a year-round job. Lately, jewelers say they are distributing their resources more evenly through the year, with only a slight ramp-up to prepare for the holidays. >>>

Curious about estate jewelry?
 By Mary L. Johnson   octubre 14, 2008

I was, so this past June, I visited the Las Vegas Antique Jewelry and Watch Show. Since I am not an expert in this field, I asked appraiser Charles Carmona of Guild Laboratories in Los Angeles about the market.
I learned that estate jewelry is pre-owned jewelry, regardless of its age. It is attractive to many buyers since one can recapture the style and manufacturing quality of "jewelry the way it used to be," often at a fraction of the cost of a newly manufactured piece.>>>

"Look for the Answers in the Store" Says Zale's CEO
By Ken Gassman  IDEX Online Research   10/20/2008                             :

Declaring that "the answers are in the store," Neal Goldberg, Zale Corporation's CEO has set the stage with his management
team and vendors for rebuilding Zale into a highly profitable, financially stable company. And, of course, as any good merchant knows: the answers really are in the store.
