Tuesday, January 23, 2007 JOKE OF THE WEEK An elderly woman decided to have her portrait painted. She told the artist” Paint me with diamond earrings, a diamond necklace, emerald bracelets, a ruby broach, and gold Rolex." "But you are not wearing any of those things" replied the artist. "I know," she said. "It's in case I should die before my husband. I'm sure he will remarry right away, and I want his new wife to go crazy looking for the jewelry." |

GRAB AND RUN SUSPECT FLEES IN GOLD MERCEDES BENZ Concord, CA – January 15, 2007 An African-American male suspect entered a chain retail jewelry store wanting to have a ring cleaned. After the ring was cleaned, he asked about the size of a solitaire. After discussing the ring, the suspect started to leave, but returned and asked to see the ring. He then asked the difference between the ring he had in his hand and a ring in the showcase. The sales associate took the ring out of the showcase and asked for the first ring back. The suspect grabbed the ring the associate was holding, and ran out of the store with both rings. He got into a gold Mercedes Benz SUV, with no plates, and fled. The suspect is described as mid to late 40s, 6’, salt and pepper hair, mustache, slim build with brown eyes. He was wearing a black wool ¾ length coat, black dress slacks and black dress shoes.

Laser Mokume - The Satow Method Copyright © Steve Satow 2006 - Ganoskin The traditional Mokume process yields very beautiful results but is extremely labor intensive. Along with the high price of labor is the large amount of waste. The shape of the finished product is also limited to the limits of the ancient process, no cast pieces. The Satow method gives you the ability to transform almost any finished piece that is cast, hand fabricated or even a wax model to create your own custom Mokume piece. More |
