Tuesday, October 24, 2006 When it comes to first impressions, you know the saying; they are lasting. I have questioned that saying before, wondering if in fact it is really true. Let me tell you, it is! I recently searched for a local gardening center's website (with a reputation as a very posh gardening center I might add). Well, when I finally found the website - what a disappointment! First there was this terrible music, then the site - was such an embarrassment. My impression was changed. It's important to rememebr to address all apects of your business with the same level of effort. Consistancy is key and maintaining a good furst impression. How does your website look? U.S. government acts quickly on Kimberley Process critique National Jeweler OCTOBER 02, 2006 - New York -- In response to a recent report from the Government Accountability Office (GAO) that found weaknesses in several areas of Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KP) implementation through the Clean Diamond Trade Act, the State, Homeland Security and Commerce departments sent letters to the GAO detailing the changes they put in place to correct the problems, according to a press release issued on Friday from Jewelers of America. WANTED: THIEF WITH 30 IDENTITIES On March 24, 2006 this suspect walked into a retail jewelry business after casing the location for nearly two hours. A security camera captured the suspect using a key to open a display case and then steal jewelry valued at $50,000. The police suspect that the thief used a stolen "master key" to enter the case. The theft took approximately two minutes. More
