GemFields Brand Ambassador, Mila Kunis

Evil never looked so good with the sultry Mila Kunis as the future Wicked Witch of the West, Theodora in recently released film 'Oz The Great and Powerful'. The young star has gone so far as to inspire the world's leading coloured gemstone producer, Gemfields to take on their first brand ambassador. Kunis is now the face of Gemfields, a unique company which focuses on ethical mining practices and operates a colored gemstone mine-to-market supply chain.

The global leader in colored gemstone production has brought Kunis on board to assist in their execution of a multi-tiered advertising campaign and brand re-vamping, which will include a shiny new website, large format book on emeralds and a debut collection of exclusive colored gemstone jewelry designed in collaboration with 37 international designers, rumored to be revealed in March 2013.

Before agreeing to be a spokesmodel for the campaign, Kunis toured Gemfields’ Zambian mine, Kagem, which produces approximately 20 percent of the world’s emeralds. The star of 'Oz the Great and Powerful' has said: "While in Africa, I learned that the entire journey that each Gemfields stone takes is carefully considered and that the environment and the local communities where its mines are located are held in the highest regard. I truly believe in Gemfields' mission of ethical mining, and I absolutely have fallen in love with the rarity, beauty and history of emeralds."

In the 2013 Gemfields campaign, Kunis will be wearing wearing one-of-a-kind emerald and ruby jewelry created by six of Gemfields’ designer partners: Alexandra Mor, Amrapali, Dominic Jones, The Gem Palace, Sutra and Fabergé, the storied Russian brand acquired by Gemfields earlier this year.

A celebration recently took place at the Soho House in West Hollywood to celebrate the union of Gemfields and Mila Kunis. Photos of Mila were taken by Mario Sorrenti and styled by Anastasia Barbieri.
